Leftovers.

So a while back I became acquainted with a pleasant young fellow. To be frank I was quite smitten with him. We talked and conversed quite regularly. It wasn't until like a month ago, he liked me to, but I ruined it.

For about a month I've just been head over heels for him, and it just wasn't working, until tonight I didn't realize that what happened happened, and its not going to happen again.
be be your love
Though it would be nice to have a relationship, I don't have the time. With college apps taking up most of my time, SAT study time, ACT study time, and normal AP study time. I'm bogged down.
every atom of you _ every atom of me.
I've learned I need to live for the moment. Live for today, and have no regrets. I enjoyed the time I spent with him, but it ended. I regret nothing.
Be yourself
Living on the edge doesn't mean taking risks, it means living knowing that tomorrow might not come, and being okay with that. I've learned that I don't need some guy to be happy. I need to just LIVE.

Besides, come May, we'd have to break it off any way, and I don't want to have to go through that. Meanwhile there are other relationships that I'd like to work on. Like the one with the all mighty God. I've been so busy I've left Him at the wayside and I'm giving Him my left over time. He deserves ALL my time, not just the left overs.

Peace Out Girl Scout.

  1. We hear all the time that Senior year is suppose to be fun. It's really stressful and I feel for you! I understand how easy it is to get bogged down by everything. Thankfully I have all my test scores back in so I no longer have to worry about that.
Boys will come and go. You'll have plenty of time in college to find someone :) chances are (since everyone will be a little older) that it'll be a more mature and enjoyable relationship than you'd have with someone now :)
You are right, God deserves our all! He says for us to give Him time in the morning - our firstfruits.
    I love reading your blogs!

  3. So when you said that your relationship with God had fallen to the wayside, two things happened.

    1. I was like - great, someone else is so stressed like me.
Then 2. It was a huge slap in the face because you recognize it and want to change it. Whereas I just recognize it and leave my Bible to collect another huge layer of dust.

Anyways, you sound like a really smart girl. I enjoy talking to a boy right now - we've been best friends all through high school and we're finally both single - but he wants to go to California for school. Definitely enjoying it but I'm so scared for how it'll play out.

WHAT I"M SAYING is that I really appreciated this post. It's helpful to know someone out there is going through the same things as me. Thanks, Tansy. (:
